Jason Collin's ex-Fiance

Carolyn Moos was floored when he came out (a bad choice of words). Two young people, both intelligent and one an NBA player and I just have to wonder was she that naive or did he take one (or many) for the team and ensure no questions? How do two in their 20's have a relationship, are engaged and don't have a fair bit of nookie. I tried to do a search and there is very little real questions or comments as to how she could be hoodwinked (though should that be the real story?).
