| Does anyone here have a spouse with sleep apnea or have sleep apnea themselves? I'm 32 weeks pregnant(so about 8 months along) and tend to have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Well, last night my husband was snoring as usual and I went to the bathroom. After coming back, I laid in bed for quite a while, not able to fall back to sleep. During that time, I listened to my husband snoring and noticed my husband stop breathing for several seconds, then do a gasp/snort type of thing to get air and then continue snoring. He continued snoring for a while(several minutes?) and then stopped breathing again. I started counting how long he was not breathing and got to 12 seconds before I freaked out and just nudged him to get him to take a breath. This is the first time I've noticed him stop breathing and it has me freaked out. Should I have him get tested for sleep apnea? Do you just go through your primary care doctor or do you see a specialist? I'm just wondering what the process is like. | |||
