Two situations I am requiring assistance with: 1. Gf and I have been in a rel'ship for 6 months now and, since about 2 weeks ago, she has become really awkward with physical contact. We used to hug everyday; even simple things like before college or when I went off to do a bit of shopping etc. I asked her if she was okay today and she just sort of turned away and made as if to push me away (she didn't physically push me away). Anyway, is this likely to be an issue developing or am I overreacting? It's not the actual act that bothers me, more the subtlety behind it. 2. I am planning to try to join the army this summer. Have you known of any cases where a rel'ship has thrived despite one member going away to fight? It has been a long term ambition of mine so I would like encouragement but don't be afraid to be brutally honest.
