I am so angry, so upset. I'm a blubbering mess and a ball of tears.
I was pulled up last night by my SIL (via FB PM) over a post I made about Autism and my (stepdaughter). My post said that I was hurt by people debating some of the "horrific" side effects of vaccinating children, "such as Autism". Vaccinations do not cause Autism, as we know, but it's hard to see that written over and over again.
It also said how much I love the little person and that I wouldn't want her any other way. I talked about how bright she is (she's fabulous) and how many things she's taught me.
Well, SIL took exception to "private family business" being put on FB and pulled me up for it. Worse still, hubby saw the message before me - and did nothing. It was only when I cracked the sh!ts, and demanded that he do something that he did it.
So did I. Oh boy did I respond. I also unfriended both her and MIL and told her that the way I post will not change, the only difference will be that they won't see it anymore.
This is an "aunt" (I use the term loosely) who hasn't seen her niece since January. Prior that it was 6 months since she'd seen her. She only sees her 2-3 times a year, and only at family events. NEVER does she ring up (lives 10 mins from us) and ask to take her somewhere, or have her sleep over, or ask if there's any school events coming up. NEVER.
How f'n dare she pull me up??? I realise this one incident in and of itself isn't a big deal. It's just triggering something in me, it's got me fired up big time. Likely the straw that broke the camels back or something. Seriously, these people have said and done SO many offensive things to and about me and my family, but when I post about how much I love my SD I'm pulled up???
