My best friend is basically the guy Katy Perry is singing about. One minute he's showing all the signs of interest, especially when he's drunk. Not going into any details, he just does things you wouldn't do with friends. Then the next minute, for no particular reason, he's cold as ice. He withdraws, he ignores me, he won't even look at me. This sometimes lasts weeks.
If I try to break off my friendship with him because it's so complicated, he gets very upset and does his best to keep me happy, like he REALLY wants to stay friends.
He knows that I like him because I told him, but he refuses to talk about any kind of feelings between us, he just walks away if I try. So how do I approach this?
