Short story, there is a girl at college I really like and over the last couple of weeks or so, I have developed feelings for. We are both in A2 and never spoke to her in first year but since the start of second year and we are both on the same course, we got talking. I feel very comfortable and at ease around her and feel like I have known her for much longer than a few weeks.
I would love to ask her on date, However she has been havign some trouble with her ex recently who cheated on her on a number occasions and is attempting to get back with her. We had quite a deep chat and talked about this ( or rather, she talked and I was listening). I think she was in two minds whether to go back or not but I feel recently she has had enough of his lies.
Now, my heart is saying ask her out, but my brain is saying give her a month or so just to clear her mind. I am quite a shy person and do lack confidence which is not useful.
If I wait, I fear it maybe too late but If I ask her soon, it may come across as desperate?? I am on half term at the moment and miss seeing her more than I thought and have spoken to her briefly a few times this week but I don't want to feel like im pestering
This probably seems rather stupid to some people but I would appreciate some advice:)
