i think we've all experienced this, where youll meet someone once or theyll add you online, youll talk for a little bit and then theyll send you a message, you dont reply straight away or at all, so they send you another, another, and another.... or will say things like "are you there?" "why arent you talking?" "do you not want to talk to me anymore :("
now Im never really sure how to deal with this.. one person did it to me and they even copy and pasted the same message 3 times.. i tried saying "look, if i dont reply straight away can you just wait for me to reply?" but they responded saying they hadnt been spamming me at all.. when they had.. and went all defensive. so i ended up blocking them.
i met a guy at a club and we didnt pull or anything, i didnt flirt either. he spent the night putting his arm around my waist and i wasnt comfortable with this so i kept trying to walk away. i was talking to a guy and he put his arm around me and pulled me away from him, in a "this is my girl back off mate" kind of way. he added me on facebook and has been messaging me loads ever since. we have only met that one time in the club, and hes been saying things like he really likes me etc, when hes only met me once and doesnt know me at all..
so ive tried the whole ignore them so theyll hopefully get the hint and leave you alone or back off and let you reply and talk to them in your own time, but that hasnt worked and has resulted in more messages.
but at the same time i dont want to reply after all these messages incase it gives them some sort of impression that spamming you works, so it doesnt deter them from doing it again.
any advice? im not being a nasty person, i think anyone understands that being sent loads of messages is a turn off and makes you want to do the opposite of talking back..
