I have a question for the ladies. If you printed off an emotional needs questionnaire (or other marriage help worksheet) and took the time to fill all yours out then asked him to do the same, and he asks if you can just read him out the questions and he'll answer- would you do it?
It upset me enough yesterday that I said no and walked away, I think he should put the effort into at least doing it himself! But he called me today and said he hates when I am mad and we can do "that thing" together tonight. I know he's just going to want me to read it to him while he says yes or no.
Am I making too big of a deal out of this? I think we did a much quicker one (might have been a love language thing) years ago but it was 1 page, this one is much longer and he looked overwhelmed by it all. To be fair, he would have just said no before so it IS a step up for him, but when your at the bottom sometimes small steps get frustrating. I have to keep looking back though, we have come a very far way since the start. He is also not a book/self-help guy at all.
I try to pick my battles but this really annoyed me. Should I just do it and be thankful? Forget the questionnaire? Or wait and see if he'll do it himself?
