So I've been texting a guy I know vaguely on-and-off for the last four or five months. We've met up a couple of times (his party and dinner/drinks, when he leant me some stuff he knew I'd have to return to him at some point) but since then we've not been able to meet, despite trying to arrange another date countless times: either I've been busy, he's been busy or (on two occasions) he's cancelled at the last minute due to illness and his 'ex-gf rocking back up in town and wanting to chat'.
Just as I decide he's not interested and to forget about him, he texts me again trying to arrange another meeting. He's now asked twice if I'm coming to his party at the weekend. I intend to go (if nothing else because he might have some attractive friends!) but should I play him at his own game and just say 'I might be there' or does that not get us anywhere? I know for a fact he is extremely busy with his job and doesn't have much time to see his own friends, but I still think I'm being played...

Put the internet to work for you.
