My maths teacher has commented on my excellence a few times in front of my whole maths class. He said I was very good at problem solving and he was surprised that a pretty girl like me was doing maths in first place.
After a lesson I stayed for a bit because I wanted him to check my answers to a very hard exercise I was doing. It was only me who was doing that further exercise because I was ahead of my whole class.
He was checking my answers and all were right except the last one. He marked me first few steps of my last answer as correct but said I had a problem finishing off the problem as my later stages were done incorrectly and showed my misunderstood interpretation in my methodology.
I started arguing with him because I believed he was in the wrong, but later gave in. He then (out of nowhere, without me even asking) said that he wants me to come after school for a private one to one session (next week). I am not sure what to do, because surely he could explain to me it during lunch or something? He also was always saying that I was the best student he has ever seen but then just because of one silly mistake with my method he offered me those private tuitions - isn't he contradicting himself? I am offended as to how the best student would need the extra tuition.
Also, does it really mean anything, because after he made that offer he said I had no need to be disappointed because I was still the prettiest, most able student he has ever come across. I also think he may have winked, but I am not sure if it was him really doing that or me imagining.
So my question - do I meet him or do I not meet him? Do I have to worry the academic tuition might turn into something more? And why did he offend me on my mathematical abilities?
Not sure if this is a right forum or not, but I decided to include it into this forum because I had a thing for him. He is quite young, decent looking for a school teacher and I am not sure if I should go for it and try to flirt with him? However, I don't want it to turn out into us having sex or anything.
