I was wondering if I could get some opinions. My husband is a compulsive liar, and so I never know what to believe. For a little bit of background information; my husband and I are separated right now. He was sexually manipulative/coercive with me, and at times even hurt me. So, after a few years of thinking everything was my fault, and a year of marriage counseling, I wised up and kicked him out. I let him know that if he cleaned up we could remain married, but he is still indulging in porn/online sex. Recently he admitted to me that a few weeks ago when he felt angry with me he found someone online, met up with her and they slept together.
After learning this I believe that my husband has a sex addiction. I know that there are a lot of opinions about wether or not a sex addiction is a real thing/problem, but I feel it is. He seems to not be able to control himself, and his actions seem to spiral or get worse; at first he was only looking at scantily clad women, then nude, then videos, then online sex, then he actually met up with someone (not sure how many times this has happened).
I am slow to believe that the women he met up with was just someone looking for a casual night of sex...that seems very dangerous to me. I think it is more likely he is in a relationship with this person, or even more likely that he slept with a prostitute (given that he is not a very social dude). What do you think. Thanks!
