I don't know where this thread should go sorry. Im moving into a uni house for second year with a boy and a girl. Im severely regretting it now as the girl is a complete control freak. Our rent is £325 a month excluding bills. We were supposed to set up our bills together however over the summer the girl did them all herself. We set up a bank account for our house bills but its under her name so only she has access to it and she has the debit card for it. The plan was to pay the bills as they come so id transfer over x amount each month. I have paid so far £80 for water and £50 for broadband which x3 is 240 for water and 150 for broadband. Apparntly this was a water bill that meant we had unlimited water till March. However I received a text last night telling me she wants me to set up a standing order for £70 a month for bills when I said whats that for she said any bills that may come our way. I argued that we had paid £240 for water already and she said it was quarterly but now apparently its monthly. She then said she wanted £10 a week for a food shop which is insane because I don't eat anything they eat. Shes not demanding I set up a standing order for £80 a month each. Whenever ive questioned what its for who the bills are with or even to see the bills she tells me 'im not clever enough to understand' 'why am I so interfering' Ive even mentioned the fact that we wont be there for half of January due to holidays but she said from November we have to add an extra £20 as its going to be 'cold'. Im not rolling in money I struggle to sustain myself at home every single pound counts to me and this girl jus seems to have surplus amounts of money it makes me wonder if shes actually pocketing the money herself or atleast making me pay for her half of the bills. Could anybody give me any advice on this or how much they pay for bills please thankyou | |||
