Boyfriend wants to move in together

I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year. We're both students and are looking for accommodation for next year, and he's brought up the possibility of us living together. We already spend a fair amount of time together anyway, and he stays over at my place a lot, so I suppose it would be more convenient to just live together. It would also be a lot cheaper. But I'm a bit worried about what it means for our relationship - I love him and we're pretty serious, but at the same time I'm a bit concerned that we might be moving too fast. I'm also afraid that spending so much time together would just make us get sick of each other and ruin the relationship. We're both fairly independent people and not clingy at all. So, is this a great opportunity or some kind of recipe for disaster?
