What's his agenda? Guys explain this...

There was a guy in the year below me in school who I didn't really know but we reconnected a few weeks ago and made decision to go out a few times. He started with the 'xo' and I know not to read into that but he liked a lot of my photos on fb etc. so we hung out a lot and it was really nice etc and kept making future plans like we'll go and see icehockey game and visit his uncle's charity. We have really deep convos and tease eachother etc. I asked if my opinion would influence his post-grad uni choice and he said it would. He's a Christian and has really good morals. We hung out in really scenic places by ourselves 4 times in the last week. I don't even normally see my best friends that much. Last night we went for a walk and cinema and held hands etc. at the end we kissed (admittedly a peck!) because he dislikes french kissing. We text for hours and later like 2am he phoned me, I didn't answer because everyone else was asleep. Then he said about taking things slowly :/. What do you reckon? Should I cut my losses and move on? Or take things slowly? Surely if you liked someone you wouldn't mind getting embroiled in a relationship? :/ opinions needed.
