Had a date(?) with a guy, seemed to go alright, should I text him...?

I've been talking to a guy online and we met up recently. He seemed to do most of the talking though and we didn't flirt at all... We didn't flirt when we were chatting online too but we quite a bit in common so that tends to dominate our conversations. At the end of the date, he said that it was nice to meet me. We had also talked about a film and he said that I should let him know what I think of it as I hadn't seen it. I don't know if that means that he wants me to keep in touch or that he was simply being polite. It's not like he said we should meet up again or something. That was 2 days ago. I don't know if I should get in touch or not. I don't wanna seem like I'm brushing him off or something but then wouldn't he contact me if he was still interested...? Urgh, opinions, please...
