Does this guy just want sex?

I'm 18 and have been out twice with a guy who's 25 - once for drinks where we talked for hours and kissed at the end, once for coffee which was also really nice. Other than that we've been texting a little bit throughout the day for 2 weeks-ish. He just seems quite keen for me to go over to his place? He's invited me round a couple of times properly and has also casually suggested I go over by saying he'd cook me dinner and stuff like that. It could just be that he's more comfortable in his own home and likes more relaxed nights in, but I wonder if it's because he wants to do things that can't be done on public. When I first thought about it, I asked my friends if they thought he was just after casual sex, but now I'm thinking at his age, is that even casual? Or is on the 3rd date usually considered quite normal; I know you don't have to stick rigidly to these rules, I'm just wondering if sex after 3 dates is the norm.
