My boyfriend goes to a different school. The original plan was for both of us to go to both proms - his first, just as a couple, since his friends are all going in different groups, and mine a few weeks later with a group of my friends. However, the prom group fell apart, and since the point of going to my prom was to spend it with (and take pictures with) my friends, I'm not sure I want to go anymore since I'll already have had the prom experience and couples photos with him. Easy solution: don't go, right? Except the complicating factor is that the school gives out senior class favorites at prom and there's a 98% chance I'll win one. Call me vain, but I really want to be there for that. And if my mother finds out I missed the award, she'll kill me. There's also the fact that I'll be able to introduce him to all of my friends that have never met him, and the potential for pictures. Help!
(Context if I used any odd concepts/terms that require clarification: I'm an American who will attend Cambridge next year, and this is far and away the best forum I've ever seen so I hope you can help me out)
