We are quite class confined in this country I think. The english are a 'small c' conservative people. And in that vein, this girl, I have a feeling, maybe a preconception, that she is small c conservative as many people are. Now, my question is, if you've been raised in quite an intellectual family, an no I don't mean pretentious, but a bit more open to Europe and maybe America and culture in general, intellectual discussion, politics etc, stuff that many people are uncomfortable with in this country(but is just the norm other places)- the protocol seems to be to conform to class rules, eat the same food, stay away from certain topics or interests or discussions, if you have this way of approaching life and thinking and feeling and hobbies, and yet you are physically attracted and have affection towards someone very conservative or who prefers to be more ordinary, can it work, or will the instinctive, innate linking run dry when there's no capacity for discussion or mutual understanding?
She is working class. I am not professionally high up or successful but come from an academic and cultured family, state educated though. She is northen so maybe that means marginally less conservative, I dunno.
Am I prejudging too much?
Has anyone been in this situation?
Put the internet to work for you.
