Hello, I've been on the GR forum, and was wondering if those amongst you that are from the US would have any opinions on where the best spots are in the US for a holiday.
We are in the UK, and it will be a once-in-a-lifetime trip we are hoping to make maybe next summer.
There are many parts we would like to see, but obviously in a 3 week break it would have to be contained to one state. I would like to go to Colorado for the scenery, kids would like California due partly to their love of West Coast rap (not sure that's a legit reason!), H would like Texas but I think it would be too hot in summer, and so it goes on?
Worried a little by crime rates, but is that just media inflated? We are from small countryside town in UK, even London makes us feel on our guard!
Any suggestions for a sunny, scenic holiday to remember?
