I sympathise with you. What happened was horrible but it was also completely your fault. Try and improve your life and be happy. However, I think you having children would not be fair on the children, you might pass another horrible STI on to them and your judgement skills leave a lot to desire. So yes it was horrible, yes you're both completely responsible and yes you should not have children at least not until you stop making such silly mistakes. Also, how do we know you are not trolling, trolls have been known in the past to be horrible and fabricate stories to fulfil their own ends.
