Loss of a beloved pet

Last Friday we had to put our cat to rest. We have had him since he was a kitten and he was 16 years old. He was in kidney failure. We both miss him terribly and still cry at some point during the day. He was the perfect cat, almost dog-like really. He was affectionate, he was there to greet me when I got home, he slept with us every night. It is so hard.

Not looking for any answers here, just grieving.
