Worried about my girlfriend at uni

My girlfriend of two and a half years is going off to uni in less than a week to university of birmingham. We both planned to study the same course and at the same uni but I didn't get in and so need to take a gap year. She is two hours away which I know is not a huge amount. However,I really love this girl so much, and she loves me equally, she doesn't even look at other guys and says no one is as attractive as me and she didn't cheat on her holiday away with her girlfriends. She says it'll work and that we will be fine but I'm so worried. I just don't want to lose her and I know she feels the same, she's cries often about the situation and isn't even excited for uni now. I feel like I'm holding her back from what should be an amazing experience. How can I ensure that she doesn't just go off me when she's exposed to all these new people and ideas. Also is it normal to feel the way I do, I just feel resentful, angry, frustrated and a hint of jealousy, as we'll as feeling proud of her. Someone please give some advice.
