| I started at a new college and I've been there for a few weeks. I am really bad at making new friends, once I know someone I'm fine and I actually have quite a few good friends. I've talked to a few people but I've felt awkward and I've struggled to make the first move. Even though it's still early days, people are kind of making friend groups. Not everyone but still. The class is pretty big and people kind of work where ever they want to. There's like a few groups of people and there is one small group of people, even though I haven't spoke to them yet, they look like the kind of people I'd get along with. I know it sounds a bit pathetic, but I'm kind of nervous to approach them. I'd have to no idea what to say. Once the conversation was flowing I think I'd be okay, I just need an excuse to talk to one of them and somehow hang around with them. I'd feel weird just going up to them and saying "hi" without knowing what to say next. Yeah I'm scared that I will just put this off until it's too late and I will be a loner forever. :( Help please. I am willing to put effort in I'm just a bit nervous around new people. | |||
