Is it normal for guys to be different around boy mates than girl mates?

This is just something I've noticed, and I'm really hoping it's not just me. When guys are around me, their personality seems a bit different - they seem to go quieter, gentler, less excited. Whereas when they're with their guy mates, they seem louder, more rough, more teasing and they seem to talk more. I'm wondering if it's just me being really boring, and the guy friends I have (okay, I'm only properly friends with one guy) being bored when they're with me? If I'm right, then how can I get guys to enjoy being around me? I'm a really quiet person anyway, I'm probably just naturally boring. =S Please keep anon.
