Has this happened to anyone else? I feel so arrogant and regretful

  • Thread Starter

Anon please, as I am ashamed of myself. I feel like I was arrogant and wrong in my past. I'm a 23 year old Asian man. I never expressed these views but I've always had a view that interracial relationships are best avoided. I don't know why. I guess I disapproved of the gene mixing throughout the generations, plus in movies it is very rare to find an interracial couple in the characters. Therefore I was brainwashed. I also went to a public school(I'm not naming which one). From that we gained the mentality that state school people are inferior as you probably know how these schools are like. Well anyway, I'm doing my Masters degree in University and now I've fallen in love with an African girl who was state educated. I feel so bad for previously having such big headed views about interracial marriage and state school pupils. I honestly thought I'd never fall in love with a state educated African girl. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Falling in love with the people you looked down upon, and then feeling regret afterwards.
