Okay so basically I don't have a clue what to do anymore. I've been with my boyfriend for 17 months and he's amazing. I love him to bits and he's my best friend. I don't know what it is but whatever it is I have some connection with him and he's just great. But recently he's been acting kinda odd and eventually I ask him what was wrong. He told me that he likes another girl. This other girl is my friend. I don't speak to her much anymore and I see her only every so often but she's still my friend that I've known since I was three. He's only met her about 3 times and has never said anything before now. He hasn't seen her in like six months so it's not like a recent encounter has made him have these feelings.
He keeps telling me he really likes her and that he thinks she is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. This obviously upsets me but he keeps saying it. He says he doesn't know what to do coz he still loves me and cares for me and always will. He says he doesn't wanna break up with me but at the same time he has a deep desire to get with this other girl. He's getting upset that he thinks he can't get her and she won't like him. She also has a boyfriend. She has no idea he likes her at all. He keeps going on about it. Asking me if he's good enough for her and if he would ever have a chance with her. He always makes jokes as well and says things like I imagine her during sex with me and stuff. When I ask him if he wants to stay with me he says yes and tells me he loves me but then goes on and on about this girl. Telling me he's depressed coz he can't get her and he wants her.
I just dunno what to do. I want him in my life coz I care about him but this isn't right. I've told him that he can't just keep me waiting and if he wants this other gilt then he should end it with me but he keeps saying he doesn't wanna end it. I keep telling him if he wants to be with her then go and leg me go but if she doesn't like him I won't be here waiting for him. I'm not a second option yet I feel like I'm being treated like one.
