This is an odd situation I think. I've had friends with benefits relationships before and they've mostly just ended due to boredom on my part or changing situations. But lately I've got involved in this one with a guy who lives quite far away so we see each other infrequently, which I like quite a bit because otherwise I feel smothered.
Anyway, it's been a few months and it's brilliant. Really casual and fun, not exclusive although I haven't seen anyone else bar one night and neither has he. When we're together most people mistake us for dating as we hold hands and spend all our time together so it's quite amusing correcting them.
However, the other week he told me he has feelings for me but can't commit to a relationship fully (due to reasons I totally understand, he has a big thing going on in his life right now) and he doesn't want to do things in halves. We agreed to just continue what we have going at the moment as it works well and we both enjoy it. I am fine with it all as although I think he's a great guy and we get on really well, I'm not sure I'd want a relationship with anyone.
But now I'm worried, is it okay to continue in this FWB if he has feelings? Is this asking for disaster? Should I end it and try to stay friends? Or keep going and if he wants a relationship, work it out if/when it happens?
