My husband and I just purchased our first home. Despite the fact that it is only a 1423 sq foot townhouse, we are very excited about this new chapter in our lives. No more elevators, sharing one bathroom or loud traffic for us! :toast:
We need a dining table with six chairs for our great room. My husband would like to buy a brand new table. I disagree because I think we should buy a table secondhand. I see many ads on Kijiji or Craigslist in which people are selling gorgeous solid wood tables for $200 or less. Tables like that would be well over $1000 brand new. They just don't make furniture like they used to these days. We have newer furniture for the rest of our home too.
What do you think? Would you buy a secondhand dining table for your home if it was in good condition? Why or why not?
