I am looking for advice on how to get my marriage back on track.
We have had problems for a long time. Husband has been dealing with an addiction for years and that has made it hard. Then a couple of years ago things suddenly got a lot better and I thought he had finally gotten control of his problem. Then about a year ago it started getting bad again and he wanted attend counseling and though I thought is was a stupid idea and a waste of time, I agreed.
He picked a counselor that downplayed his problem and that only made things worse. The counselor at first recommended that we split up, but after a few more sessions where we discussed how that would affect the family, she changed her mind and said we should stick it out and that he needed to learn to live within normal boundaries.
He had been doing good lately, but he completely ignores me. It's like he doesn't care about me anymore. He's polite but very distant. When I try to talk to him about he doesn't say a word, and just listens then he says things like, okay or he understands then walks away but nothing changes.
How can I get through to him he is being childish and stupid, and they way he is acting is affecting the kids?
