Confused

Ok so need some advice. I was having a heart to heart with my bf last night and we were on the topic of love. Ok, so here is my dilemma, I feel there are all types of love and you can never love any 2 people the exact same. I feel that if you could then how could there ever be that one person you spend the rest of your life with. He, on the other hand, expressed that he has loved the same in every commited relationship. Is this possible? Please I need your thoughts.
