For anyone who has done the 180 and encountered a big event that normally would be a gift-buying event (Christmas, "big" birthday, etc.). Did you refrain from buying any gifts or did you give a gift. How about cards? Regardless of your choice, how did it turn out and are you glad you made that choice?
