Breaking frienship because of opposite point of view

  • Thread Starter

I spoke to a friend about society's influence on people, especially the idea of happiness. Recently, I changed my mind by seeing how desillusioned we could be. People use to think that perfect life is defined as house with children and marriage, job well-paid, a car and a lot of material things. I tried to explain to my friend that it was a myth created in order to assure that people are all the same ( you know, sometimes, if your friend has a boyfriend and you haven't, you would first be jealous and implicitely try to separate the couple ). She admits and agrees with a part of what I said, but...she refuses to change anything in her life ( afraid of changing things in a bad way ). So my question is : Is it Worth it exchanging your point of view even if people could be hurt by the truth ?
