I can't flirt with girls. I have never been able to. I can talk to them of course, but I can't seem to move the conversation on from general chit-chat to something more... well, flirty. I think I'm a reasonably good conversationalist, or a confident one at any rate. I listen slightly more than I talk, I ask lots of questions, I give compliments and I'm relatively witty... which is all good, but it's still just chatter and not actual flirting. It's somehow distant; I can't seem to convey that I'm interested in being more than just friends with the girl.
I was in a bar the other day with a girl I had just met. We had loads in common, we got on really well and she seemed pretty interested in me - interested enough to leave her friends to talk to me. We talked for ages, and I thought it was going really well, but when we left, I noticed the friend I had arrived with sitting across the room with a guy she had just met. They were being really touchy-feely, giggling, and falling all over each other. I thought: Oh, that's what flirting is. I know touching isn't talking, but it's still part of the conversation. I really want to know how you move on from just talking, to the intermediate playfully sexually suggestive stage that links it to, I assume, kissing. So, how do you do that?
I think the girl I met might still be interested in me. I'm going to meet her again soon, so I may have a second chance, but I really need to make the most of that chance, otherwise she will definitely lose interest.
TL; DR: I can't flirt with girls in a playfully sexually suggestive way. I want to know how. Any tips?
