Honest answers needed- am I a needy girlfriend or do I have a point?

I work weekends and only get 4 off a year (roundabouts). I am in a relationship, and have been for 3 years, with someone who lives about 40 miles away who works in the week. Therefore we never get to go out together, as I only see him during the week in the evenings. However in a couple of weeks I have the weekend off, and he has known this since April. The plan was that I would go to his for the weekend, however today he tells me that he wants to go and do this thing with his mates which will last the whole day, and said that I should stay in his room (alone) for the whole day while he does that :S So on my day off I'd be alone in his room. Is it me or is this out of order? I said to him I am sick of coming second place, and that I'd find something else to do on my weekend rather than sit in his room. Then he comes back saying he hates me and that I'm holding him back, and how he wants to go because 'everyones going to be there' and that if I stay in his room for the day he'll get me a pizza to make up for it! What do you make of this? Opinions please
