very confused please advize

hi guys,i would appreciate some advice to my relationship problem im going threw right now,i would like to hear from guys as well ,as this problem is about my man,well x man. Ok,where do i start,my partner is 11 years older than myself,so without telling you my age il just tell you his,hes 43.we met 6 years ago threw our work,we were both married to other people,his marriage was not that good and neither was mine....we met we fell in love,we left our current partners and pretty much moved in together,i have to add hear that my partner didnt only leave his wife he left his twin boys also aged 2 at the time,some of you might think that was a pretty harsh thing to do but it was not an easy decision for him to make,his then wife moved to new zealand taking the boys with her,he has had no contact whatsoever with them,his choice.anyway,i basically had trust issues with guys,its the way i was brought up but thats another story,so we got together,with me thinking that he would probally leave at some point or have an affair with someone,age gap and all that,so our relationship has been quite rocky,very passionate in and out of the bedroom,because i didnt t rust him he did sleep with someonelse a few years ago to which he confessed 6 weeks later to me,it was only one night and i do beleive him when he says that,the guilt ate him up so he told me,as you can imagine from then on the trust was completely gone,however we tried to work it out,i forgave him but never forgot it,each time i would bring it up and throw it in his face while arguing.....anyway we have recently came back from a lovely holiday abroad,we have just moved house to a nicer one and i have just changed my job because of redundancy,we had a stupid argument a few weeks ago and he announced he couldnt do us anymore we were over and this time he meant it,the confusing bit that im really struggling with is he hasnt moved out only to the spare room,he says he wont see me with nothing financially so hes helping out,he says he still loves me to peices but cant be in a relationship with me anymore because we are so toxic together,,we are still having sex together now and again,do you think he still wants us and eventually we will get back together again as a couple or what?we have both taken off our rings we bought eachouther and he says he wants us to be friends and he dont want to part on bad terms,but we havnt really parted,should i stop the sex with him,should i ask him to move out?as i said.im sooo confused as to what to do.thank you for taking the time to read this.x
