My christmas gift didnt make it :(

I gave a gift for a friend during christmas through postage. she just text me saying that she was busy and didnt pick up the gift and it was returned to the post office, she called several times but was told that the item has been returned.

is this a genuine story or is it a hint that she doesnt want my gift!!!
