Humorous Beer and Wine Labels

One of my favorite things about travelling is getting to try the local food and drink flavors. Sometimes, they're national labels, but more often, they are local. Obviously, I don't know whether a beer or wine is good until I try it, and there are more varieties than I have time to try, so what usually happens is the most creative label or name gets my attention, and that's what I end up trying.

I thought it would be fun to dedicate a thread to labels of beers or wines that different people have found along the way that you found funny, or amuzing, or unique for any other reason.

I have a ton. I'll start with a few, then back off and give other people a chance to contribute.

Why do you think people were drawn to Jesus?

Was it his compassion . . . his truthfulness . . . his simplicity?

If you had been living in Israel at that time, what would have drawn you to him?

DDay Anniversary-what do you do?

Not sure how to handle this. Do you openly talk about what happened or just carry on like it is another day? Every time I get sad-thinking about what my husband was doing a year ago-he gets angry and defensive or just ignores me until I'm no longer sad. I have realized he is just not capable of offering comfort-but don't know how to mask my emotions. I have quit asking questions as they just sparked arguments and accusations that I haven't healed and that I have ruined our progress. I'm just worried that I will not be able to hide what I'm feeling and am really not looking forward to him getting mad at me because I am sad.

As I sit here typing-I know many of you will say that I am in a false r and I would agree. He continuously lied to me, he is still not telling me everything, he blamed me for the affairs-saying he didn't think I loved him, refuses joint marriage counseling, and so much more. However, he is far kinder to me than he ever was-if I can find a way to get past this pain-the quality of my life would be so much better. It's so ironic that I have live with emotional and verbal abuse for over 23 years-and was able to get past it all-and yet I can't get past his infidelity.

Sigh.....your stepkids that you are leaving behind?

I'm still wrestling with the thought that if we get a divorce, I have no legal rights to my stepson. No one really seems to talk about this, so I'm hoping to get some real discussion going here.

In a traditional family that breaks up, both parties can have joint custody of the kids. And the relationships are maintained either way, because well.....they are your biological kids. You are always going to be either dad/daddy or mom/mommy no matter who your ex-spouse dates or marries down the line.

My stepson is almost 5 years old, and I basically have been in his life since he was in diapers. If my husband and I divorce, I just don't see how I can remain in his life nor do I see how it would be reasonably for the long-term that we would be able to maintain the nature of our relationship......as mother and child. He calls me Mommy, and he is my child, my angel, my baby, and my son. I refer to him as my child wherever I am. And my husband has full custody of him.

Is there any chance that I can still be Mom to him, even if me and my husband divorce? Even if my husband goes on to marry a new woman (meaning new step-child) in some years? Even if I remarry?

I'm just so torn :(

Sex during separation

Good day all,
I am new to the forum and need some advise / insight to help me not to damage my falling apart marriage any further.

Been in relationship with my wife for almost 20 years and have a kid. I was an overprotective partner and jealous for years that done significant damage to our relationship and mental health. Been to counselling, medication and support group for two years and have changed a lot but even though we've had very amazing sexual relationship for a period of 10 months during last year we started talking about temporary separation, she wanted space, and we agreed for her to move out but then changed her mind and instead pushed me to leave the house. I finally moved out, which I made mistake doing so by having a big fight the day I moved out (I couldn't leave house with a smile and kiss, had to pick a fight).
Anyway during few months whenever I visited home she was really nice but I was always angry when it came to say goodbye again.
I moved in with my family again due to financial reason recently and agreed this would be temporary. When we're discussing the situation she always says even though I have rid of most of my negative traits and am very desirable as partner but she needs a miracle to make her love me as she is not attracted to me!! During this time we had sex (casual sex) and she is very relax around me sleeping in the same bed with me hugging her or kissing her both of us fully naked, but she is refusing any advances I make for sex and she never touches me.
I am quite tired of analyzing two conflicting thing: Not wanting sex versus enjoying me touching and attending her.
We have been on date nights and enjoyed spending time together but I never made any moves on those nights as I didn't want to ruin the night in case she says no sex, which may follow up by revisiting the past.

We are getting professional help but, my question is in your opinion / experience :
Would sex or advances be helpful in working on our relationship giving her assurance that I am still attracted to / love her despite all bitterness of separation? or Should I give her space and give separation a chance to probably start fresh without acting needy when ready if not ending up fully divorced.

Thanks

I need advice and help!!

My husband and I have been married for 15 1/2 years. The last 5 years has been really rocky. We are both to blame. 3 months ago my husband got caught having and affair with a co-worker. It was only an emotional affair, but they were planning on trying to find a way to have sex. Just had not found the right spot yet. The husband of the co-worker found the texts. He was not happy as you can imagine. But anyway after a lot of talking, he had me convinced he loved me and was sorry. He wanted to work things out with me. So we started counciling. Only had two sessions, then he just dropped the ball and wouldn't make another appointment. I have put my whole heart into trying to figure out and try everything I know how to show him I love him. He has done nothing but try to figure out how to leave the marriage. He says he has tried and when I ask him what he has done to try, he says I stayed. So I take from that, that I am the only one who is suppose to try and c hange. He can be a very mean spirited person at time, he is always so negative. Nothing is ever good enough for him. My problem is, I truely love him with all my heart and was willing to forgive him for the affair and do what ever I need to do to make him feel loved and want to stay in the marriage. He keeps telling me that he does not want a divorce he says that's the only option he sees. He brought divorce papers home the other night and set them on the counter. He didn't say anything I found them there. I asked him about them and he said he needed help filling them out. I told him I would not help him and he couldn't figure out why I was so upset. The last two days have been a nightmare for me and just don't know where to turn or what to do. I have told him several times this is not what I want. When I tell him that I love him he tells me ya whatever. Any advice would help. Please?

Am I that stupid?

I dont really know where to start.
A brief background, have been married for 17 years, 4 children. First 8 years physically abusive. He got sober, hasn't pulled too much in the past 8 except verbally and emotionally. Telling me im worthless ect. In public people think hes great, tell me how lucky I am, what a great father he is:confused:

Struggled for a long time to build our business. Finally got a really good contract, he leaves and files for divorce. He has been seeing his bookeeper for the last year or more. He tells me of other times he has cheated in the past in graphic detail. Wont explain anything, wont even talk to me. Wtf is going on.

I put spyware on his phone a year ago, proved he was cheating. He promised to quit.

I guess hes been planning this, have found saftey deposit boxes, bank accounts I didnt know about, gold hes been hiding, it goes on and on.

I dont even know where im going with this or how to explain his relationship with the kids who are not dealing with this well, or the lies hes spreading around town. I feel like im in a really bad nightmare!
Sorry if this doesnt make any sense, im feeling overwhelemed at the moment.

Mixed Up in the Head!

If anyone on here has this similar situation I would love to hear from you. First of all, this is all my fault and accept whatever comes out of this in the end as I deserved it.
I am married to a wonderful woman for 16 yrs. I never once was unfaithful nor has she ever been. She is a christian lady who is very into the church where I am not so much. I did go from time to time but only to church services. She goes to sunday school, was into bible groups, and has many friends in the
church and a very supporting family and many friends outside of church and family.
Here's the problem, I started an affair back in july with a woman who is also married but lives over an hr away from me. Her work brings her to my area a couple of days a week. She has been wanting out of her marriage for a long time. She has 2 boys, one is 17 the other is 13. She has not been happy until I came along. Our meeting was by accident not planned. We started talking and before you knew it we were kissing, hugging, and then it became sex.
I had never in my life done this before. I gave in to temptation. I knew better but still did it. Thought it would just be a time or two and be done with it. Never thought love would be in the picture. We both fell in love with each other after about 2 months seeing one another.
I got caught when my wife seen the OW cell number many many times on our phone bill and she ask me about it. I did not lie and my wife broke down and cried. What did I expect? I broke her trust in me and I was a sorry human being. She had already gone through this once in her life yrs ago with her ex-husband but she never thought I would do this to her. On top of getting caught, I moved out. I moved into a motel room where I am still til this day. My wife has practically begged me to come back home. She said she has forgive me and wants our marriage to work. I should go back but not feeling like I want to, I don't think. The OW has also moved out, but into a trailer. Her husband knows nothing about me, only that he thinks she is seeing someone. They are getting a divorce according to her. She is madly in love with me and has never ask me for money or anything, only my love.
She is much younger than me but I am young for my age, so people say.
I love this woman but I also care alot for my wife. My wife has done nothing to cause my actions. It was an opportunity and I was impressed that this other woman wanted me. NOw, I don't know what to do. I am being squeezed by both. My wife can't take much more. She has lost 33 lbs since summer and does not eat very much at all.
The OW thinks I am playing both of them cause I still communicate with my wife when she texts me. She wants to be No.1 in my life and I clearly understand that. I've been to counselers and so has my wife. Her part was to learn how to cope. Mine was too try and figure out what I want to do.
I can't get over this woman and I am afraid if I go back home that I will not be happy cause of my love for the OW.
If we eventually get together like we have talked about, how will I feel about destroying a very good woman. This is not an envious position that I don't think anyone would want to be in.
I know both women love me deeply. I know I've done bad. I don't need to hear that from anyone. I just would like to hear from others who have been through this and what they have done.
Like I said, my wife and I always got along. That's why it has been so difficult for her cause she didn't see any of this coming.
I simply fell for the OW and now in love with her but don't know what my next move is at this point. I have to do something and soon or I might be completely alone myself.

Drunk dial from ex (the dumper) last night

Hey, guys. I'm not married, but I posted on here awhile ago and got some great responses that I really appreciated. I'm having a tough time again, so I was hoping to get some suggestions. My full story is here, if you're interested:

http://talkaboutmarriage.com/general...ghanistan.html

But here is the summarized version and what has happened since. Thanks in advance!

I was with a guy for about a year. I'm 21, he's 25. I loved him, still do, and even now I believe he loved me. He deployed to Afghanistan last March. We did good until around July, when he got extremely stressed out with the deployment and decided he should "pause" our relationship until he came home so he could focus on the deployment. I was really upset because it came out of nowhere and it was hard for me to understand, but I said I supported him and let him go.

He kept in touch with me (he initiated everything) about every two weeks but then suddenly stopped contacting me in October. Again, I decided if he wanted to talk to me he would and I let him go. I did send a care package with his favorite foods mid October, and then I said Happy Birthday toward the beginning of December but I never initiated anything else. I did those things for MYSELF, I wanted to know in my head that I did everything I could and let him know that I still cared. I figured it would be easier for me in the long run that way because I couldn't play the "What if?" game or blame anything on myself.

Anyway he got home from Afghanistan two weeks ago. His family lives in another state so he isn't in my town right now, but he will be visiting extended family HERE next week. I had not heard a peep from him until he messaged me on Facebook Thursday night, just saying hey. I replied and we sent a few messages back and forth during the afternoon. He kept the convo going and eventually texted me instead of Facebook messaging.

So I fall asleep last night and wake up to a phone call around 1:30 am and I answered. Yes I know I shouldn't have... Pretty obvious where this is going. I was doing so good before I responded to his Facebook message and broke NC Anyway I could tell he had been drinking but he basically started crying to me (literally) saying he misses me, that he made the biggest mistake of his life, that he loves me and wants me back. He said he's been out with his friends but always ends the night thinking of me. Everything leads back to me. He said he wants to start over. That he saw so many things in Afghanistan that messed with him and he thought it would be better to separate himself from me, but now that he's home he regrets it. He said that he wants to start over with me and commit to me.

So I text him this afternoon asking him if he felt the same way, and he says he doesn't even remember talking to me. I find that a little hard to believe and I'm extremely disappointed and setback. I came forward and asked him (even if doesn't remember saying those things) does he have feelings me?? I said if he doesn't, I'd like him to tell me so that I could move on without him. He says "Yes I guess I do to some degree I do have feelings for you. I just hate that I drunk dialed you. I was wanting to talk to you about everything in person."

So... Do you think he meant any of what he said? And why would he include the "to some degree". What is my next step? I haven't replied to that text yet... The thing is, I was fine without him and don't need "closure" from him. I had accepted that I would probably never hear from him again so this is all completely throwing me off. Obviously I'm not over it and I do still have feelings for him and wish that it could work. I'm willing to put everything behind us. BUT I'm not interested in being strung along or a hookup or being friends. Period.

I guess I was just curious as to how I should respond or what I should do. Any insight. Thank you

I totally need to date a British guy.. except..

I just don't know how to find one in the Midwest of USA..

Okay, that's my funny..

There are a couple of you UK guys.. You are just tickling my funny bone. I GET your sense of humor. I love it. No one gets my sense of humor..

I'm so not ready to date, so this is completely theoretic.. But I'm cracking up, b/c my mom always used to say to me "You have such a British sense of humor Browneyes. You should marry an Englishman"

I just find it very strange and ironic that my deceased mother knew my sense of humor better than I did..

P.S. I hate Monty Python.. Don't go there..

Condom Broke, Wife Pregnant, Tough Situation... Any Thoughts?

My wife and I have been married for five years (we're both 30). It has been relatively rocky, especially the last couple years. We don't fight (as in scream at each other), we just have significant differences and personality clashes.

About two years ago, we went to marriage counseling (tried a couple different counselors). Did that for about a year and a half. About 4 months ago, we decided to pour everything we could into the relationship but about a month ago we decided it just wasn't working and separated.

Right before we separated, we had a condom break (the last time we had sex!). Well, of course, it turns out now she is pregnant.

I am back at home with her but I am lost at what to do next. I feel an obligation to stay and try to make it work, but I feel hopeless that we will have much success relationship-wise since we have really worked hard in the past and it just didn't turn out.

Lots of emotions right now. I just don't know what to do. I don't even know if I have a specific question, but any thoughts are appreciated. Anyone been through anything like this? Thanks!

The Last Piece of the Puzzle

Short background

Had a 2 decade marriage and 2 kids. Wife was a SAHM. Caught her cheating with a younger man working at the YMCA. When confronted she lied her a$$ off then when hit with proof she couldn't deny- she freaked out and told me it was all my fault.

She couldn't divorce me fast enough and said she would replace me with a better man who could provide the lifestyle she wanted. I had purchased a 30K Honda for her. She said she was embarassed to drive it because everyone has one. She wanted a German car. Also, I paid for a membership to the Y, she wanted to join a country club.

I could never figure out why she was with Y guy as she had such a focus on expensive things. After being divorced and now supporting herself- she has seen the light and wants to get back together with me (can you say no f-ing way in hell).

This morning- she provided me with a typed timeline and plan for R. –where was this when it hit the fan?

As it turns out, Y-guy was OM-2… OM-1 was/is a sugar daddy. He's married with kids. His wife has an Audi and they belong to a country club. XWW and OM-1 were fighting over who was leaving their spouse first. She wanted him to- he wanted her to… Long story short- he dumped her. She was upset and had a fling with Y-guy. That's what I caught.

She says that why she wanted the fast divorce and "gave me such a good settlement" Apparently, her attorney advised her against our deal. She thought that sugar daddy would leave his wife as soon as she was available. They did start back up as our divorce was processing, but when it became final, sugar daddy changed his mind and decided to stay with his wife.

I thanked her for the information, but told her she needed to move on with her life and that I still have no desire to R with her. I do know who sugar daddy is and am contacting his wife. Although I have no proof other than what my XWW says. But at least she will hear about it.

Long time friend had an EA, possible PA. Hard to wrap my head around

Found out 2 days ago that a long time friend had an EA and possibly a PA with a co-worker. It happened a few months back and is supposedly over now, so the wife isn't in the throws of it the way she described to me she was a few months back.

Her H has been a good friend for over 15 years now. I am disappointed in him to say the least. I can see how they are very very different and in some ways he may need someone more exciting, but he will also sacrifice not just his current family but also her acceptance of him, her willingness to let his crap go, etc.

I really am just very disappointed in him and want to tell him so, but it's not my place. He is still my friend, but I am mad at him. She is past the initial anger, so I don't want to stir the pot by telling her I'm mad. She is my friend as well, but I knew him first before they ever married.

Not even sure why I'm writing this. Mainly just to get it out because it is bugging me and I don't want to tell anyone I know.

role reversal

Hey everybody, so I'm having some issues with my wife. I tried talking to her directly about them, but sometimes I just get the feeling I'm bothering her. She is a very neutral women sometimes. I mean sometimes she has this way about her that makes me feel like I'm the female in the relationship(fricking degrading as hell). I'm the type of person who likes to talk about what is on my mind. I rarely hold back my feelings, because I seen the results first hand of people who bottle stuff up. And I'm the kind of guy who cant sleep if something is bothering me. Right now I feel like if I bring this issue to my wife, she's going to brush it off like I'm over reacting. I guess some of my issues are we don't talk as much as I would like to. I mean granted when we are in the house, we do our own things. I play the game on the PS3, she's playing candy crush on the CP and checking her forums for her soap updates etc. But its the time after that, that I have a proble m with. We get in the bed, and she isn't very sexual at all, I always have to suggest things for her to do because she never takes the initiative. She has become lazy sexually or uninvolved. For example if I want to try a different position sexually that requires her to exert some type of energy... she gets frustrated. Sometimes I think she's just content with climaxing and going to sleep. It wasn't like this in the beginning, sex in the beginning was exhilarating, refreshing, reassuring, it was something I looked forward to. Now she barely touches me, and when she does, and I touch her back, its like "gosh, just because I touch you, doesn't mean i want to have sex. Lately I've been apologizing whenever I feel like irk her(demoralizing). Even I feel like sometime I should just man up...It just feels like we're growing apart... Maybe its because I want what I signed up for in the beginning, not the water downed version.

I've tried having this conversation with her in an indirect way by using an example of one of my friends who is married but cheats on his wife. I suggested that maybe my friend who was seeking attention from his wife, and probably wasn't getting it, decided that rather than degrading himself by seeking that attention that he wasn't getting.. he sought it from this other women who from what he told me in a nutshell stroked the hell out of his ego. I was like, when discussing with my wife, that it just goes to show if your not giving your man the attention he needs, there's always a women out there that has no problem.

-maybe Im wrong for thinking this but just like women like to be told nice things, shown affection, and appreciation, men do to. (I call it stroking the ego)
-Not saying I'm going to cheat, but I can now say I have a thorough understanding of why some marry men cheat...

I also feel it is a mans job to compliment his woman, flirt with her occasionally, tend to her needs emotionally, and sexually.
But at the same time it should be returned....
I've never been an insecure man, or lacked confidence.. which is why this situation is even all the more frustrating....

Anyway I look forward to your thoughts/opinions, suggestions. Normally I would never do anything like this.. but I just need to talk to someone about it, so I can stop feeling like I'm beating a dead horse talking to my wife.
