Genuine question: Why do women pretend to be men to impress women who like women?

Why do women pretend to be men to impress women who like women? If a woman dresses up like a man and looks convincingly like a dude from certain angles, attracts a woman who purports to liking women but actually likes the bird posing as a dude? Why doesn't she fly as the crows go and head straight for the man that dresses like a man, rather than the woman/man masquerader?
