Amount of people someone's slept with

So, I find this really interesting... Does it make a difference to you knowing how many people someone you're interested in has slept with? Would it be off-putting to you if it's a lot of people? Or visa versa? Just general thoughts on this would be cool to hear, always intrigues me! Personally, for me, I think it has both its pros and cons. More experience can sometimes mean better in bed, although it's not guaranteed... And then there's the thought that you don't want the person you're sleeping with to have slept with everyone else you know. But it's not right to judge someone on the notches on their bedposts, surely? Thoughts?
