Jealous of Boyfriend's new friend

I have just started sixth form and in our sixth form a lot of exchange students join us for a year.

We originally planned to sit next to each other in a lesson but the teacher ended up moving him next to an exchange student.

The exchange student and he got on really well and there and then he got her Facebook details and mobile number to talk if she has any issues with school work or needs to access something.

On the way home, he was talking how 'hot' she was and I just kept laughing along with it. But over the past few days, I noticed that she always sat incredibly close to him and kept looking at him all the time. I confronted him about this and said that she probably likes him and he needs to somehow make it clear to her that we are in a relationship in case she doesn't realise but he told me that she didn't like him and made up lots of excuses for why she acts like she does.

Within a week of meeting her, he is already texting her as friends all the time and hanging out with her at lunchtimes and breaks and even outside of school. Last Saturday, they went to a party together outside of school and there was a couple of pictures of them two with their arms around each other's waists. He said he didn't go near any girls.

When I confronted him about this, he told me to stop overreacting and that I am acting like a 6 year old. He told me to cope with it or break up because he doesn't want it affecting him. He accused me of always thinking of myself but never how he feels.

I decided to try and cope with the situation but he just kept mentioning her quite a lot and it just makes it difficult to cope. I asked him to stop mentioning her but he said that he doesn't and refuses to believe me.

One of the problems I have is that it has taken one week to get to this stage with this girl but with our friendship, it took us a few years to get to that stage.
