Right, before people get defensive/irate over this post, I do realise it's a pretty daft question. I'm simply posting it because I saw a few forums regarding this question, the arguments were hilariously puerile, and I thought it'd be interesting to see if the educated demographic of TSR could do a better job of answering the question of "which country is toughest?" I realise 'toughness' is a vague term, so thought it could be broken down into categories. For instance: who is toughest in terms of historical invasions? Toughest in terms of resilience? Toughest in terms of culture/practises? Toughest in terms of physical attributes (for instance, sheer size and aggression etc). Also, who are the manliest people? militarily tough? I think you get the picture. I was just curious, after having seen lots of other people resort to name-calling and having their feelings hurt, how TSR would approach it :p For me, in terms of resilience - the motherland Russia In terms of invasions and, to an extent, the military - England In terms of demeanour, physical attributes, attitude and some history - the Vikings! (Scandinavians) I'd also add that, militarily, and as a people, Israel deserves a spot, of course. In terms of fist fighting - Ireland Overall, Russia, Whole of UK, most of the nordic countries, most of Eastern Europe and Israel. Who would you consider the most/least tough? Btw I didn't give much explanation as to why I made my choices. I don't want to bore people with a tediously long post. I'm just interested hear what others' opinions and justifications are :) | |||
