Where is the best place to meet girls(and how to approach them too)?

Also, how should I approach them?(what to say etc) I'd be interested to hear how/where people here met their current partner. Thanks Im completely bewildered about dating, most people don't have to make online threads for advice. Women are just totally alien to me.
