Hi, first and foremost thanks for looking. Basically, this guy in my friendship group wanted to spend some one-on-one time with me. He's nice and I enjoy his company, so I agreed to go out for a few drinks with him. He asked (I think he was trying to be jokey, but there was a serious question behind it) 'So, it's a date then?' I told him explicitly that it wasn't and that I just see him as a good friend. We went out and had a good time. No flirting but just some laughs and a good chat. Today he was being very flirty so I just tried to deflect things. He asked for 'another date' (his words) and I told him that the night before wasn't a date, just a friendly meet up. He responded with 'Well, I thought it was something more', and I told him that I'd explicitly said I just saw him as a friend. He's currently not talking to me. Was I wrong for agreeing to go out in the first place? Should I have been clearer? | |||

He thought there was something more, did I lead him on?
