unhealthy obsession with someone

  • Thread Starter

I slept with my brother's friend a few years ago - twice and from then on, I always dream about our night together! I don't love this guy at all, all I want to do is sleep with him and get that buzz again. Ive been with my boyfriend for three years and the bedroom department is boring, we tried but he isnt interested. I messaged this other guy about meeting in a hotel and I know for a fact he will sleep with me if I asked him but I feel disgusting and desperate and I do not want to cheat on my boyfriend. I have this unhealthy obsession and we are going to be at a party together soon, and I am absolutely dreading it because I don't think I will control myself! Please for the love of God help me! :(

I keep going for certain boys, the ones that take a few drugs,
smoke weed everyday, i get on with them well and been for a walk
or coffee with them. Then however they just seem to fizzle out.

It makes me sad, and i'm attracted to these sorts of boys so i can't help it...

Insensitve friend(not nasty person just not very empathic)

  • Thread Starter

Have wrote about him before, I think he is autistic and I know he suffers from depression as when he is stressed out he either snaps or retreats into a shell and just blanks out the world.

When he comes round to see me he doesnt take the hint I need my own space so sits in my living room for the 2-4 days he stays(despite me hinting I want him to go after a day or so) then just kicks off his shoes, uses my glass table for making cigarettes, buys takeaways and leaves the containers over my floor and the bedroom he stays in has the contents of his backpack all over floor

If you try and speak to him he gives a blank stare and seems confused (more in a naive way than nasty way)

If he ever owes me money he moans at paying it back(but does pay it back upon request with no delay its getting hold of him thats the problem to remind him) which is current problem, he owes me like £24 for something I sold him and this was from 8 days ago, he hasnt paid yet and as he hasnt been online I have had no chance to remind him, I know the second I do he will pay but he is so much in his own world it doesnt cross his mind he needs to pay, he will say something like "well you are not struggling to pay bills that means theres no rush"

Its just annoying each time he comes round I have no privacy, he treats my place like a hotel and moans say if I walk around in a dressing gown telling me to get changed, or moans that he has no credit on his phone and I may be busy in kitchen he will say "hurry up and ring for me" he likes to feel cold and I like to feel warm so he whinges about the heating in my flat, turns off my heating and opens my windows even in winter then starts moaning loudly when I tell him its my flat not his saying basically "well I feel warm and thats all that matters" and when he does leave it takes as much as a hour to clean up after him and he doesnt even say thanks for staying(or offer me any cash for electric used)

Just venting a little as I know he isnt malicious just a little naive and insenstive its justI feel I am getting the worst part of the bargain as I cant even stay at his as he lives with parents.

One Night Stand with friend's brother

  • Thread Starter

I feel like i need to write this out to clear my head more than anything.

Basically, I went out the other night and got with my friends' brother. We slept together but he left in the morning without saying goodbye. I woke up int he morning and I was really pissed off but apparently he left because he had to say goodbye to his sister who he was visiting before he actually left to go back to his home city.

Well he messaged me on facebook apologising for leaving early and stuff and then said next time his up, he'll take me for drinks to make up for it. I'm wondering though, did he just say that to be nice. I feel like his sister just forced him to say it, although I'm not sure.

What do you guys think??

doubts in the relationship

  • Thread Starter

I have been in a relationship for over a year now, and my boyfriend says that he will always love me regardless of if we have had a falling out or an argument. However with me, I know I love him and want to be with him, it's just sometimes I just have doubts especially if we have argued.

I wanted to know if other couples have this? And have doubts sometimes about their relationship?

Sorry, if this makes me sound bad, but we have never had an argument where I have done anything wrong or that I've hurt him, so I usually have doubts after I get upset with him. I know that sometimes I go through periods where I don't really like to get so close to people and push them away, so I dont know if this is due to that, or I dont Know if this is normal to have doubts and other couples gl through this sometimes? Thanks.

I like her but...

  • Thread Starter

I like the girl I walk past when I go to school. I'm pretty sure she is single. I've just got a dearth of confidence, I'm paranoid, I just think she won't find me attractive espically with so many other attractive guys out there.
I feel strange when she walks past me, I just get this tingling sensation. Another thing is I can never look into her eyes, I just get nervous. From what I've seen she is my type I saw her with a Guitar thing so I think she is into music, I've seen her with her friends and she doesn't seem loud. I want to hear her voice, so I'm thinking of asking her what the time is.
How can I tell her I'm interested?

How to tell my parents I have a girlfriend?

  • Thread Starter

Please read FULLY before replying

I'm a 20 year old guy and she is my first girlfriend. Without being horrible to my family they are a little 'odd'. It just seems difficult because I've never had a gf before so I don't know how they react but I can almost imagine it from knowing them so well:

- They are very judgemental so they'll constantly be thinking about it. I wish it wasn't a big deal to them as it has nothing to do with them but they'll probably be thinking about it/have it in their heads that I am in a relationship all day for ages.

- They aren't good with sensitive subjects. For example they'd never give me the 'sex talk'.

- My family are VERY anti social - My dad literally goes to work monday-friday and that's it (doesn't have friends), my brother has aspergers so he has no friends and will be thinking about me having a girlfriend constantly as that's his personality (he sits in his room playing games all day combined with over-thinking/worrying over every detail - if i ever brought her to my house he'd panic that I would have sex with her in the room next to it.... I wouldn't have sex in my family house anyway). My other brother does have friends at school but he has never brought anyone round to our house before and never goes to other friend's houses. Basically my house has never had a visitor - no one has friends so if someone came round it is AWKWARD. They don't know how to behave/react. Especially at dinner when there true weirdness comes out they don't know how to be normal/social and there's an awkward silence. Any conversation that does take place you can just tell each person is weig hing up whether they should say it and thinking wayyyy too much before speaking. Eg they'll think 'is this weird to say' before opening their mouths. My mum also has an 'overthinking' and worrying personality as she cares too much for me.

- As I said it's hard because i don't bring people round to my house and nor does the rest of my family who do not have friends. Neither of my brother's have had girlfriends (or friends for that matter), nor do they talk about girls, dating, sex or anything related. Also since it is my first girlfriend it is hard for me to tell them.

I was considering texting my mum about something then casually just mentioning it in there. For example 'I'm probably coming back from University on Monday. Also do I have white/black formal attire for Alex's birthday on the 14th. I'm not drinking as I've got training for my job on the 15th. Also just thought I'd mention I have a girlfriend now'.

Boyfriend problem. What should I do? HELP!

  • Thread Starter

Hello everyone!

So really need some words of wisdom as I have no idea what to do.

I have been with my boyfriend for 5 years and in December, we moved into our own house.

What has come apparent over the past 4 - 6 weeks is that my bf is texting this girl every day without fail. If it's not texting, it's sending pictures via Snap Chat or through Facebook.

He used to be her team leader and then she left the company to go elsewhere.

When I have mentioned to him about him texting her, every day, I said to him that it seems strange. I never speak to my friends all the time. Or if I text someone, perhaps the text conversation lasts about 3 - 4 messages each and that's it for a few weeks. He told me I was being paranoid and that it is normal.

It got to the point where he was becoming very protective of his phone and he even put a code on it. Now every time she texts, he deletes all messages.

Because he was texting all of the time, I became very curious, so I checked his phone. (I know - I shouldnt have done but it's done now) When I checked his phone, it was the morning after he went out all the previous afternoon / night with this girl and other people who he works with.

One text message that I read said that he didn't mean to make the walk back to the car awkward but deep down, he thinks they both know how the feel. He feels guilty about feeling this way and that he doesn't want to break my heart. Later on the message went on to say that recently he has not been happy but he just has to settle. There was another message where she kept asking him to go back to hers...(he didnt)

Knowing this, I felt sick inside. I do not want to be second best!!

I generally queried about him being unhappy last week - and he out right denied it!! He said he was happy.

I was talking to him about this girl again and he said that they talk about random stuff. I saw another message ( i know i know...) and he said to her that I am aware that they talk but I think it's random stuff. If I knew what they were talking about I'd kick him out.

Seriously, how am I supposed to react to this? They talk throughout the day and it's very sexual what I have read.

How do I even approach the fact that I've read the messages to him? He's also going out drinking with her and others tomorrow. I dread what other confessions will be said this time...

His mum asked him outright if something was going on - he said no. And he told me about it and seemed genuinely upset she had asked him

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated x

Girlfriend in year 11 I'm in year 10

  • Thread Starter

Basically, me and this girl have been speaking for around 3 weeks! We are basically going out, we've had our 1st kiss and do everything a normal boyfriend and girlfriend would do. But she says "I don't want to make it official until my exams are over"

Recently, the past 2 days, I've felt myself drifting from her, we are still talking on a regular basis and all the time. But I don't know just something doesn't seem right, I can understand that she has to revise and I don't want tl be the cause for her not her best in her exams! She always calls me a 'distraction' in a cute way, and tells me that she's always thinking about me! But I don't want to seem clingy, nor do I want to not speak to her. I am also scared that we will lose what we have and feelings for eachother over the period of 1 1/2 months!

Is this really how people are?

  • Thread Starter

Despite being in my final year of university, I haven't had friends or any social circle in years. I downloaded Yik Yak (lets you talk anonymously with people near you, many students use it). Do normal people do anything other than:

>talking about upcoming nights out clubbing
>clubbing
>talking about previous nights out clubbing
>watching netflix

This is what I have found from using Yik Yak. Also when I see people talk about getting in to relationships, all I can feel is that, in comparison with myself, where I probably feel like an old kid, I feel like normies are just old kids who "play adult". They all have one night stands and friends with benefits etc yet act like their relationships are special...despite no one being a christian and the fact that they're aged 20 - 22, won't get married for at least another 8 years, and the relationship won't last for more than a few months. Yet there seems to be some really pious pride they get from this.

Does anyone else see this? It's like people, females in particular, swallow their lifestyle choices from Gossip Girl / whatever soap operas are on tv.

Also it's exam time and on Yik Yak there's a giant amount of people talking about "uni stress" etc... I think that sums it up, it's like people try to live up to the media perpetuated stereotypes.
