My wife is naturally very attractive. Not in the stereotypical blonde, supermodel sense, but in the real world, curves in the right places sense. When she's on form, a simple flash of her smile is enough to light up a room and have men flocking to her.
The trouble is, she takes no pride in her appearance. She wears the frumpiest clothes, has no interest in doing anything with her hair, doesn't care if her clothes are a complete mis-match. She has put on a few pounds over the past couple of years (who hasn't, right?) but while she recognizes the need to keep in shape she has no motivation to do so.
At one point, she even took to regularly wearing a bum bag until I made it clear that this was the equivalent of me going around in a string vest, trucker hat and chewing tobacco.
How do I get her to take more pride in her appearance without coming off like a jerk?
