Basically i have recently moved out into uni about a 2 hour drive from home(London) i have moved to London from Egypt in the summer of year 6 so i done all my growing up at that time and i kinda grew up the British way and i was never really religious, however my parents are quite religious, not extremist but they do follow most. They are also over protective esp. my mum. she loves me too much its acc annoying sometimes, i always had issues at home going out and doing the things everyone done because of the whole muslim and egyptian culture thing which i didnt really wanna follow. Islam is a beautiful religion dnt get me wrong but i want to grow up be independent, live and enjoy my life.
So yeah back to my point, i am currently at uni, a fresher so its lots of parties less uni drinking etc. somehow all my life my parents have been finding out everything i do i dont know how. i feel like im being stalked, even till now! so yeah wev argued a few times and theyre not happy with me going etc. and that im following my religion and doing all the bad things blahblah i just wish they could let me be... they still complain about my friends and think they can tell me who to be friends with ad who not ..like HELLO next year ill be 20, its just they're too involved and now iv moved out they still are trying to. I really dont know what to do i don't want to keep upsetting them but i also wanna live my life they way IIII want not the way they want me to. i used to visit the first few weeks now after all these arguments we barely even talk and they have refused to give me any more money since then.
