| Let me start by saying my Wife and I have been married for 12 years, we have a great relationship minus the sex which is pretty much nonexistent and when we first met I told her that I had hoped to one day be working with Microsoft, Google, or Intel. I'm in my early 30's and current am a Network Engineer for a decent sized company based out of Michigan. I make very good money where I'm at and have an offer to get into Google making just over six figures per year which is just 30k more than I make in my current position. My Wife makes just over 30k and we have really no debt to speak of, no kids, and she knows this is my dream and personal career goal. She refuses to move down to OKC where this position is located at and is telling me to choose me or the job. She seemed extremely supportive when we would talk about this being my goal but now that it's happened I have no idea how to react or what to do. We've been in our current house for 10 years and have done renovations to it, completely re-designed the landscaping, etc. She says that she loves the house and doesn't want to move down South because of "those people" and tornados. This is my dream and she is standing in the way! |
