I'm not a dick to her, so she doesn't like me in that way

Long story short, my best friend told this girl who I was in deeply for that he liked her whilst drunk. Even though, she'd told me she liked me less than a week prior to these events, she told him the same the next day. I thought my friend wasn't going to follow through but he's been persisting with it ever since, but she's been reluctant to do that. She tells me I mean a lot to her & that I'm like a brother/someone she looks up to. She told me a few days back that she liked him because he treats her like **** and doesn't seem to care - so I'm guessing she doesn't like me in that way because I'm too nice. It's not like I was nice to her because I wanted to get in her pants, I was nice because I cared about her even before I fell for her. It's just disappointing how that's putting me at a disadvantage. Should I move on? Is this where I get my moment of silence? Want some opinions.
