How to deal with this?

I'm working in a hotel over summer to earn money for university and work as a maid.A guy who works as part of the bar staff was friendly to me and tried to talk to me a few times(I'm pretty shy) and we have talked once or twice for not that long until last week when I had a break and decided to be less shy and talk to people. We had a longer conversation and he occasionally flicked me with the towel teasingly and generally had a more 'banter' filled conversation.(I'm bad with this sort of stuff but I think it was) I finished work and he came up to me and asked if I wanted to go for a drink with him.We had a drink (he paid) He then asked to walk me home and asked if he could have my number.I'm going to work next week and he hasn't contacted me(although I gave him my landline as my mobile is malfunctioning atm and he joked it would be awkward if my parents answered) Do I just continue as normal? He obviously wants to be friends with me but who asks someone for a number to make friends and not contact them all weekend.(although I was busy all weekend..still)
