Girlfriend distancing herself from me

My girlfriend thinks I want to get back with my ex. My ex left me for another man a year ago now, and when my girlfriend asked what I would do if my ex came running back I said "I would like to think I'd tell her no". Since I said this my girlfriend has completely changed towards me. She said the uncertainty concerned her. Her communication with me during the last few days has been rather poor. I asked her if she's okay and said what I said about my ex disturbed her and that she feels like she isn't very important to me, and she is glad she is going on holiday next week with her family for two weeks because it will do her good to distance herself from me. I admit I've a been a bit of an ******* to her lately. I might have brought up my ex on conversation a bit much but I want to sort this out. I do still have really strong feelings for my ex (she was the love of my life) but I like my current girlfriend very much.
